Award-winning author Susan May Warren continues her contemporary romantic suspense series featuring the Marshall family in Minnesota.

In Ned, Navy SEAL Ned Marshall expects Shae Johnson to be patiently waiting for him while he completes his training. But she makes friends and goes on an adventure of her own – hiking in the Swiss mountains.

Unfortunately, her new hiking friend is not who he seems to be, and Shae is kidnapped and transported to Siberia. Can Ned rescue her from the human tracking ring before it’s too late? If he does, what will be the cost?

Trusting God and recognizing His control in all situations are central themes in this storyline. Warren’s latest book is filled with flawed but realistic characters and a fast-paced plot that grabs the reader’s attention early on. Looking for non-stop action-adventure and heart-pumping suspense? Ned has all of these and more including faith journeys, and a teaser for the next book, Iris, coming in later in August 2023.

Many of Warren’s recent books end on a cliffhanger, making it difficult to read as a standalone, although she does an excellent job with the backstory. However, most readers will want to read the first two books, Fraser and Jonas, to appreciate the introduction to the Minnesota Marshall family and the appearance of Warren’s characters from her earlier Marshall books.

Recommended for adult collections and high school readers who like their action intense and romance clean, as well as Susan May Warren fans.
