Aleckson pens an inspirational romance where imperfect people might be undeserving of second chances, but most of them get themReaders will appreciate the clean romance, happily ever after but only after lots of angst and healing, relatable characters, and a light-handed faith element.

MY REVIEW

Rachel D. Russell creates relatable characters, a clean romance, and a well-crafted storyline with a subtle faith element. Grayson has big dreams back in Oregon after the summer, while Beth hasn’t learned to say no to anyone and tries to be everything for everyone, especially her widowed dad. Both have struggles from their pasts, but they eventually build a friendship as they work together. Will they learn not to let the past define them nor carry the burden of guilt any longer?

Both Sammy and Robin struggle to discover where they belong, and to recognize that bad things happen but they don’t need to define us.

In Once Upon a Winter Wonderland, Vivien Calhoun and Boone Buckham are preparing for their winter wedding, unaware that it will be impacted by the  biggest snowstorm Deep Haven has ever seen. Will their Christmas wedding be derailed by the weather and other obstacles, or will Boone and Vivien find their happily-ever-after?

The wedding of Boone and Vivien is the focal point in all four stories. Each of the main characters face spiritual and personal challenges. Will they recognize God’s hand in bringing them to Deep Haven, a place where second chances (with God and others) await?

Hauck and Boerma recreate the small town of Hearts Bend first introduced in Hauck’s Wedding Collection. It is not necessary to read those earlier books to enjoy this one – it is a standalone novel. Hauck provides the framework (and there are cameos of her Heart Bend characters), but Boerma does an excellent job of making it her own. Readers will look forward with eagerness to Boerma’s next book!

Teaming up with Eason to present the second book in the Elite Guardians Collection, Abrams recreates the action-packed world, filled with relatable characters, faith elements, and twisting plot twists galore!

The clean romance develops at a realistic pace. The banter between Charlie and Lizzie is delightful as they navigate from friends to more than that, all the while trying to stay safe and uncover the bad guys. Impending Strike captures the reader’s attention from the first sentence, holding it fast until the thrilling conclusion.

Violence in the story is appropriate but not too graphic. The clean romance develops at a realistic pace, and faith elements are present but not overpowering.
