Best-selling author Susan May Warren and author Michelle Sass Aleckson take readers back to the tightly-knit community of Deep Haven, MN, with this contemporary novel, filled with a clean romance, light faith elements, and suspenseful moments.

In Right Here Waiting, sled dog musher Nick Dahlquist moves to Deep Haven, hoping to show his hometown (and family) that he is not a failure by training his sled dogs and winning the big race. Helicopter pilot Jae Lynn Washington lives in Texas and follows Nick’s vlogs. They become online friends, sharing from the heart, but never meeting.

When her dream job opens on Deep Haven’s Crisis Response Team, Jae jumps at the chance. But Nick doesn’t know that Jae is his online friend LadyJHawk, causing some confusion and misunderstandings. A blizzard throws them together in a dangerous rescue operation, but will it draw them closer?

Michelle Sass Aleckson creates a strong Asian heroine in Jae, bringing more diversity to Deep Haven (love the mentions of Korean comfort foods). Jae and Nick have past hurts, but they find healing as they learn to accept help from others and trust in God. Love, family, and acceptance are themes that permeate the story, especially that home is not a place but a situation you choose.

Recommended for adult readers and Susan May Warren fans, especially her Deep Haven & Christianson Family series. Readers will enjoy a return to Deep Haven and this nod to the You Got Mail! storyline.
